Once upon a time there were numerous farms in the city and many of those were situated here in Dundrum. Now Airfield is the last working farm open for business within the city boundaries. We are very proud of this fact and are delighted when people come to share this special place with us.
Airfield is a place of inspiration, creativity and learning but above all it is a place of fun and enjoyment. Our regular visitors return again and again to enjoy all that this wonderful resource has to offer for people of all ages. And once discovered it is rare for it to be a once-off visit.
Our visitors come from all walks of life and for all kinds of reasons. Some come as part of a school group, for a course or an organised trip. Some come for a scheduled event like an exhibition, a concert or one of our popular seasonal family fun days.
But for most of our visitors simply being here having a walk in the beautiful surroundings, stopping to enjoy the flowers, the trees and the animals and then enjoying a cup of tea in the café is enough to lift their spirits and leave them replenished and ready to face the world again.
