Airfield Activates

Airfield activates started in 2016, joining the initiative to help the Irish Nation loose a million pound by the end of 2016!

We are continuing the project into 2017, so join us on our free guided 3K walk of the estate.


ISNA Plant Fair


With April being the ideal time to start in the garden, Airfield Estate will host its now annual Plant Fair, run in conjunction with the Irish Specialist Nursery Association on Sunday April 9th from 9.30am to 4.30pm.


Easter Camps 2017

Airfield Estates Easter Camps are packed with exciting adventures for 5-8 year olds! Each camp will be hands-on with the campers growing, eating, exploring and investigating Airfields fields, farm and gardens.

Young Farmers Series


Our Young Farmers Series is a range of farming workshops for children ages 8-12 years and runs from 10am-12pm.

Each session will vary and focus on a different animal, perfect for animal lovers and outdoor explorers.


Young Chef Series

image for young chefsChildren aged 8-12 yrs will see the process of food from farm to fork and get hands on, learning kitchen safety with correct utensil care. They will soon getting creative in the kitchen preparing delicious healthy meals that they can recreate at home.

Saturday Gardening Course

HandsUnleash the potential of your back garden and learn how to make the most of it by growing your own veg, flowers and fruits. Our amazing Airfield Experts; Food Grower Kitty Scully and Ornamental Gardener Colm O’Driscoll, will work with you to create a beautiful and productive back garden.


Willow Basketry Workshop

Willow BasketryCome explore your creative side and discover one on the world’s oldest crafts. Let Cathy Hayden lead you through this wonderful hands-on beginner’s workshop. You will be guided through the basic techniques and skills of willow basketry by. When completed your basket will be a beautiful handcrafted piece of substantial size, to be used for holding objects or for display in your home.


Introductory to Bee Keeping Workshop

Are you interested in keeping bees and having your own honey, but don’t know where to start? Join local beekeeper Brian O’Toole from Leinster Honey for an introduction to the fascinating world of bees.


Native Seed Conversation Workshop
