Forest School Weekend Sessions (Fully Booked)
Airfield weekend Forest School Course with Forest School teachers Ailbhe Smith and Eliya Lavine who are both trained Forest School practitioners and members of the Irish Forest School Association.
“Come join us for a very special series of Forest School sessions where we will explore the Airfield woodlands, play games, learn practical skills and give the experiences to our senses that cannot be recreated indoors.”
Some of the activities include shelter building, learning knots so we can make cool things with ropes, using tools to make wood crafts, foraging, flora and fauna identification, forest art and games.
The course will follow the ethos and principles of Forest School learning. Some of the benefits of forest school include improving self-esteem and confidence, improved physical skills and increased concentration and motivation for learning.
