Simple Saturday Skills: 90-Minute Adult Cookery Workshops


    Introducing a new, snapshot weekend course in the Neff Inspiration Kitchen at Airfield Estate. In these quick Saturday sessions, we'll cover forgotten from-scratch skills that are perfect for everything from impressing dinner guests to cutting back on food waste. While they might not be things you'll do all the time, they're the types of skills that at one point would've been second nature in the home kitchen - so we're bringing them back to ours and sharing them with you.

    Join us in January to learn all about butter making and a bit about Airfield Estate's very own herd of jersey cows. Chef Lisa will also cover how to make amazing compound butters using herbs from our own food garden.

    In February, we'll turn to Fermentation and make our own quick pickles and sauerkraut. These are the perfect techniques for making the most of fresh veggies.

    And finally, in March we'll cover how to make your very own cheese, starting with soft, silky ricotta (the perfect pairing for fresh early spring veggies!).
