Join us on the 1st of June, 13th of July, 3rd of August, 21st of September and 2nd of November, we’ll uncover the secrets of the night as you join us for a captivating Bat Walk. Designed for adventurers aged 14 and above, this event promises an evening of wonder and exploration perfect for families and nature enthusiasts!
What’s in store:
- The bat guide will meet you upon arrival & discuss the night ahead.
- Nighttime exploration: cloaked in weather-appropriate gear, venture into the world of bats under the sparkling night sky. With night vision gear on, witness their graceful flight and learn about their nocturnal habits.
- Bat detector experience: Immerse yourself in a hands-on encounter with a bat detector. Gain insights into their unique sonar navigation, a skill crucial for their nighttime quests.
- We’ll finish our night with a fun bat quiz where you’ll be tested on your new knowledge of the incredible bats of Airfield.
