Science Week at Airfield Estate
Reimagining the Irish Food System: Creating Sustainable Cities and Communities
Join us for Science Week 2024 to explore and reimagine the food system, from soil to society! From the 10th - 17th of November, Airfield Estate invites you to get involved in our exciting events and activities designed to get everyone thinking differently about food in Ireland.
Throughout the week, experience our self-guided, interactive Sustainable Food Trail to see, touch, and experience a farm-to-fork food system across the estate. Expect to get to grips with food production, dig into the wonders of worms, explore the impact of your food choices, and become a compost champion with challenges, activities, and quizzes across the estate. Keep an eye out for any wild scientists you might meet along the trail, as we will have pop-up talks from experts throughout the week. Our trail is suitable for all ages, so bring your family, friends, classmates, and community groups for a fun dive into the food system.
