Celebrate the Overend sisters this June Bank Holiday Weekend with half-price admission!

Calling all history buffs, nature lovers and food fanatics! It is 50 years since the Overend sisters made the decision to leave Airfield Estate in trust for the people of Ireland for education and recreation. To celebrate this legacy, Airfield Estate will offer 50% off admission over the June Bank Holiday weekend (from Saturday, 1st June until Monday, 3rd June) meaning tickets will range from €4 and €7.50.

Taste a slice of the country in the city! Explore the beautiful gardens, wander through the farm, and immerse yourself in nature. Learn about the pioneering Overend sisters on the heritage trail and see the 100 year Rolls Royce. The days will be filled with nature walks, face painting, craft workshops, garden talks and sheep dog demonstrations. That weekend will also see the opening of a new state-of-the-art hen house and a new home for 120 chickens. By visiting Airfield, you are supporting the team’s work to protect nature, showcase food sustainability and deliver its education and social impact programmes.

• Face Painting, Saturday, 1st June at 11 am to 3 pm in the Hive
• Sheep Dog Trials, Saturday 1st June at 11 am to 3 pm on the Front Paddock
• Crafternoon, Saturday, 1st June, Sunday, 2nd June and Monday, 3rd June from 10 am to 4 pm in the Grey Barn
• Outdoor Experiments Saturday, 1st June, Sunday, 2nd June and Monday, 3rd June at 11 am & 2:30 pm at the Picnic Tables beside the Vintage Car Garage
• Nature Walks on Saturday, 1st June, Sunday, 2nd June and Monday, 3rd June at 1 pm & 3:30 pm at the Farmyard
• Launch of new Chicken housing on Saturday, 1st June at 10 am
